FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take dogs?

We welcome well-behaved dogs and there is loads of room for them to run around and play. You will also find some amazing walks along the river. Hope this helps! To help regulate the number of dogs on the site, your 1st dog can stay for free and additional dogs are priced at £5 per dog, per night.

Do you supply or sell the coal for BBQ?

We do not supply charcoal, but we often hold a small stock which you can purchase. Thanks

How much are the tents?

The yurt is £80 (Sleeps a max of 4) and the Bell Tents are £40 per night (Sleeps 2) – You can learn more here – http://ukglampingholidays.com/bell-tents/ .

How many does the yurt sleep, maximum?

The yurt has a king-sized double, but to increase occupancy you could bring a couple of inflatable mattresses or camp beds? Alternatively, we have a number of air beds available for hire. Speak to your representative during arrival.

How is the fishing?

Fishing is great here. It’s known as Barbel alley due to the size and quantity of that species. We have personally pulled out some big Pike, Perch and lots of other species. The river bank is 10-25m from the tents but the main fishing peg is around 50m.

How many does the bell tent sleep, maximum?

We provide two beds in each bell tent. They can be configured as either kingsized or twin occupancy. If you need more than that, you can either bring an air bed or opt for the yurt. The yurt sleeps 4.

Do you cater for disabled people?

The glampsite is not suitable for wheelchair users becauuase of the loose stone, gravel and steps around camp. I hope this helps?

How far are you from town?

Town is about 1 mile (10 min walk) along the river.

How do you want me to send deposit?

We usually ask for a minimum of 30% deposit to secure your reservation though you must pay in full prior to arrival. When you make a reservation I will confirm that we have received your request and I will check availability and send a reservation confirmation with a break down of the pirice and details on how to pay your deposit. Once you have paid your booking is secure and we will send you a booking confirmation plus other info relevant to your stay and check-in.

What time can I check in?

Check-in available from 15 & 16 on your day of arrival. We are a small glampsite and don’t always have someone around so we ask that you let us know in advance when your expect to arrive.
